Angry new primary care bad bedside maners
I was first diagnosed AHI of 55 mixed apnea more on the central sleep apnea side, had my machine for 10 years and logged 38,800 hours on my resmed v-papII it finally broke the other day and was just setting up a new primary care doc, after pleading with them on getting a new machine before my first appt, I get a new machine with the doc going on the sleep study that was done 10 years ago. this doctor didnt seem interested in what i had to say so i had to call the medical supply company to see what was wrong.lol..with the new machine my AHI is still over 40 and I told them i have central apnea..they didnt listen..had to take it apon myself to find a sleep specialist, isnt that the job of a primary care...calling tomorrow to can the first one and find a primary care doc that accually give a crap..dont make my mistake..been hard with no sleep for over a week..

need4sleep---Hope you find a doc who is a sleep specialist. It's a sub-specialty offered to docs by the Amer. Board of Sleep Medicine. This sub-specialty is available to docs in seven specialties.

RE: new primary care bad bedside maners
thank you all for the responses. I am certainly not a newbie to sleep apnea..lol..although these doctors think I am and the respitory therapist..their more tied up in compliance than the concerns of the patient..makes me laugh..the therapist accused me yesterday of not wearing it, she said she only had 3 days of data and that my AHI was very high..I laughed and said no kidding..i know..feel like crap...and told her we only had intermitten cell service here and come and check the flash card if she likes..think I'm going to fire them all and start new..
