Welcome to the forum, eezel!

I see that you have ResScan listed. The most current version of ResScan is 5.3. If you're having problems with it here is a link to instructions:
http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...hines-only

Additionally you may wish to consider Sleepyhead. SH is a free software that will provide much more sleep information than ResScan. You can also have both ResScan and Sleepyhead on the same computer. Here is a link to Sleepyhead. You will need the 0.9.8.1-testing version for the AS10.

Hi eezel
I assume you're using Airsense 10 AutoSet as you profile shows ... CPAP pressure 9 - 14 which indicate machine on "AutoSet" mode and the machine adjust pressure between these two numbers (minimum pressure and maximum pressure)

Have you received the clinical manual, if not, its available via email
http://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-pr...tup-manual

For Setup Instructions with pictures, click here: http://www.apneaboard.com/resmed-airsens...setup-info

The clinical manual is important document, going to show you the features (Ramp, EPR, climate control if using heated hose, etc ...) of the machine and how to use them and adjust them to your preference. Its important to set "Essentials" in "Option Menu" to "PLUS" so sleep report on the LCD shows efficacy data (AHI, leak, etc..), you'll NOT get this information if "Essentials" set to "ON"

Don't be afraid to trial different masks, many of us try a number of masks and different types which also includes nasal and nasal pillows masks which re less cumbersome than full face masks
Mask shouldn't too tight or too loose, comfortable and good seal is essential for effective treatment

As for how long ... its all depend on your attitude and persistence to make the therapy work for you

I don't believe its measured by "how long might take" after all we have been sleep deprived for so many years , there is a lot of healing and repairs to be done

Everyone is different, for me snoring and morning headache gone in the first week, as got use to sleeping with my PAP, my sleep improved and started to feel better
Even now after more than 4 years on PAP, I can still notice improvement day after day

Best of luck
