RE: noob here, with the usual problems
just checking back, those settings suggested seem to be working pretty good, and am managing to get good sleep, I just tend to ripoff the mask towards hours 6-7 w/o knowing, not sure how to deal w this but I do have it on 80% of the time I suppose.
I feel somewhat better during day, but not as awesome as I thought I would feel based on all the reading, guess my expectation was too high and I may have other issues than OSA

Well, if you're still getting 20% crappy sleep, due to not having the mask on, that's a problem. Hopefully you can resolve that.

Would you video record yourself sleeping, so you can see how and why it's happening?

For some it's instant and unbound energy erupts. It doesn't happen overnight for most, I feel better slowly, sleeping 6-7 hours straight is well ahead of where I was.
It takes 12 months for your brain to repair.

you could add a chin strap, as another layer you have to go through to get the mask off.

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure.

Just to pick at a nit, in that study they only tested at 3 and 12 months, so the repair they saw happened after 3 and before 12. Could be 4, 8 or 12. But I know it's nit-picky and I love that study because of what it implies for us long time apnea sufferers.
