[split] Struggling with treatment - did I have central sleep apnea all along?

[split] Struggling with treatment - did I have central sleep apnea all along?
Every few days Oscar shows a CA event of about 10-14 sec. Mi overall AHI score is about 0.50 . I feel good at wake up, but I wonder if there are any potentially serious implications. Can these CA's be decreased by adjusting the pressure?

Thanks

Ittiandro

ittiandro,
I have split your post off from another member's thread and started this thread for you.

With an AHI of .50, there is nothing here to worry about. Most of us see a few CA's every now and then.

However, if you like, post a OSCAR chart and we'll take a look.

Note: Please list your machine in your profile. Thanks!

ittiandro, CA events are nothing but a pause in breathing for longer than 10-seconds. It frequently happens with a position change or a change in sleep stage. It is normal for any of us to experience random pauses in breathing, both asleep and awake. In your case, it is definitely not related to a health issue, and has no implications for your health.
