CPAP use & acute sore throat

CPAP use & acute sore throat
I am battling THE worst sore throat (pharyngitis) in my life, going on day 6 now. Negative for both strep and covid, thankfully, but have low grade fever. The air, even though humidified, might be aggravating the already inflamed areas in the back of my throat. Have been on CPAP using nasal mask for last few years and never had anything like this before, it is on fire.

Suggestions?

A low grade fever going on 6 days doesn't sound quite right. What advice has your doctor given you?
Even though you tested negative for Covid and Strep, it wouldn't hurt to get retested if it persists.

Gargling with warm salt water couldn't hurt.

I think the PAP therapy is guilt by association. If it hadn't caused it before, I don't think it's guilty now. Check in with your PCP.

Fever implies you are fighting an infection. Even with negative tests, you should request prophylactic antibiotic therapy and get on with life.
