sunlight titration thread

RE: sunlight titration thread
Thanks for the feedback @OpalRose, I appreciate you taking the time to review my charts.

I had considered increasing my minimum pressure but read somewhere that it can worsen CA which I do see ocassionally in my data. I'm in good position insofar as I don't have many events but conversely that also means few data points to work from so having someone with more experience offering suggestions is very helpful.

For the next few days I'll try with APAP 8-20 & EPAP 3 and report back.

Night with higher min pressure of 8cm went well. I didn't use the collar or chin strap as I need to revisit how to make the former not give me neck ache or the latter to stay in place.

Zooming on the few OA events I did experience it looks like I may have opened my mouth and snored a little? If so I still need to revisit how to keep my mouth closed during sleep.

RE: sunlight titration thread
The most important question is how you feel.
The change in pressure was minimal, but did seem to make a difference. But one night doesn't make a trend.

Watch this for a few days and see how it goes. I think the numbers look good, but it's how you feel that counts.

RE: sunlight titration thread
Today I'm feeling pretty good! Last night's SpO2 readings were my best yet which seems to back that up.

I've felt a gradual trend of improvement since switching from the Sefam to the Resmed. Not as stark as going from no therapy to CPAP, but a nice bump in alertness during the day and feeling less tired towards the evening. Some of this may be down to me not waking up as much on the Resmed so I'm getting longer periods of uninterrupted sleep.

You're right that I need to slow down and look for trends over time. There's so few event data points to observe on a single night that random variance between nights could lead me in the wrong direction unless I start working from averages over longer periods.

Today my AHI is 0.62, the lowest yet! Pressure looks quite consistent throughout the night and I didn't wake up at all.

Conversely, my oximetry data was the worst night yet. I woke up with a headache and sore throat this morning and don't feel rested.

I had an episode of acid reflux yesterday and think this may be the culprit. Going to try getting that under control as a priority.

Acid reflux .... yep, try to get that under control. Be sure you are not eating or drinking too close to bed time. And what you are eating is more important.

Looks like you doing well. You can post another chart if you want someone to take a look at the O2 data.

RE: sunlight titration thread
I have had episodes of acid reflux in the past and think I've identified certain foods that trigger it so I should be able to get it under control hopefully.

My nightly overview chart is mostly unremarkable I think so I'll share a couple of zoomed time periods that might be of interest. The first is an hour where my SpO2 seems generally quite low for no apparent respitory reason. The second seems to be a CA induced desaturation event (but I only have a couple of these the entire night). Note for the latter chart that I don't think the two devices are perfectly in sync which I assume accounts for the small lag between the CA event and desaturation.
