RE: switch to unheated hose for summer?
In warmer weather I turn off the heated hose and humidifier and just use pass-over humidification--water in the humidifier but no heat.

I use a nonheated hose as I haven't found one yet in the 10 ft length. My wife uses a heated hose - her doc won't let her go with an unheated. She needs the added humidity, We both have ResMed machines and hose covers. The covers are more to keep little teeth and claws out of the hose from the furbabies.
