Drooling in a full face mask!!!

Drooling in a full face mask!!!
So I wear the F20 Resmed mask. It’s the most comfortable I’ve found but I can’t help being woken up in the night by drooling as I’m a natural side sleeper who sleeps with their mouth open. Any suggestions that might help me stop filling my mask with drool I.e humidification settings etc? I have my Resmed 10 auto set up to auto climate control and auto tube heat.

Thanks

I use the same mask as you, and am also a side sleeper and a mouth breather. I tend to drool, but it sounds as if not to the same degree as you.

I've experimented with the humidity settings somewhat and found that not much changes. Once in a while, it gets bad enough that I have to get up and go to the bathroom and wipe down the inside of my mask with a tissue.

Other times, I just sort of do the unthinkable......and swallow.  Oh-jeez Rolleyes

Other than that, I don't know of any other solution.  Dont-know

When it got cold I started to get lots of condensation/rainout on auto. I switched to manual temperature of 82 and humidity of 4, which helped, and then got a hose cover, which helped more.. You might start there and see what feels best.

The other way to look at it is that you could try to clear whatever obstacles are preventing breathing through your nose overnight. I've had great success with Xlear xylitol nasal rinse.

It sounds like you need an aid to keep your lips from parting.  That will be either a soft foam cervical collar, a chin strap, or if you don't have any fears of using it, tape...across your lips.  The latter is my election, and it has worked very well for 27 months now.
