FlashAir Problem? - parkerdt - 07-20-2015

I have a FlashAir W-02 16gb card for my A10 Autoset. Normally it reads properly in station mode. Recently however, the card has not been findable by FlashPAP in the mornings when I go to download my data. I have to either remove and reinsert the card or power cycle the machine.

Anyone have a suggested fix for this?

Thanks,
Dave

change the timeout value to 0. Think the default is 30000 or something

APPAUTOTIME=0

Thanks, I've tried that without success. Here's my config:

I have the S9 Autoset. Perhaps it lacks some of the power saving "features" of the A10... As you know, the flashair gets power to be on from the device it is plugged into.

Something else to try....

https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepmaster/zflashairfix Wrote:FlashAir Fix for Close Signal Issues

So my CPAP is about 4-1/2ft from the AP... like really close.

Over the weeks, I would not be able to communicate with it even though the AP was showing 60% signal.

After the course of a week or so, I tried a few things but most of the time, the best I could do was get to FlashAir to bounce off the AP (100% for a few seconds.. then gone.. repeat).

Thomas gave me a tip which is supposed to help when the FlashAir is too close to the AP...

Add to the CONFIG file on the FlashAir the following line:

NOISE_CANCEL=2

And that fixed my problem so far for more than 3 days straight.

I would imagine that most have their CPAP machines a bit further away from the AP that I do, so you might not need this "fix". But if you having the same problem, you might give it a try.

RE: FlashAir Problem? - parkerdt - 07-20-2015

My AP is about 20 feet away through 2 walls, but can't hurt to try!

Thanks!

RE: FlashAir Problem? - DariaVader - 07-20-2015

I think it is more likely that the A10 is "green" and is not powering the flashair sufficiently to keep it online, but idk. Not likely to be "noise" at that distance, IMO. This might be the first time I am happy I got the older S9 rather than the A10 Big Grin

RE: FlashAir Problem? - parkerdt - 07-20-2015

I don't know - seems to stay up during the day - I've been hitting it with FlashPAP off and on to see if it has gone away; it has not, and I know my A10 is in powersaving mode.

We'll see what happens in the AM!

Thanks again,
Dave

RE: FlashAir Problem? - AlanE - 07-20-2015

I occasionally have that issue after I stop using the machine and try to download the data. There is no rhythm or reason for it and it doesn't happen every day. I do notice that when I have a power failure (however brief) I have to reinsert the card to connect it with the network again. Do you have your router set to cycle off/on during the night?

RE: FlashAir Problem? - parkerdt - 07-20-2015

No, my router and CPAP are both on UPS supplies, actually. Enough to ride out any outage of an hour and a half or less.
