Exorbitant DME charges - GrammaBear - 08-07-2015
I recently called my DME to inquire about an error in my order for cpap supplies and all it amounted to was the fact that they miscounted when they included my request for nasal pillows. So they were kind enough to send the 'single' nasal pillows in a separate package promptly. What I don't understand is that the 'submitted charge' for one set of pillows was $60 and the amount that they actually got paid was $5.44. Why do they submit such a high charge, it doesn't make sense.

if you didn't have insurance, they would take that amount.... it is part of our system that is mucked up and needs to be fixed.
