Understanding sleep report terms - stephen D - 09-12-2015

The following forms part of the sleep report on my machine. VT 640ml, RR11, MV 8.0 l/min, TgMV 7.4 L/min . It would be appreciated if someone could explain . Thank you ...

I'll take a stab at it gleaned from other forums:

VT = Tidal Volume
RR = Average respiratory rate during the selected period
MV = Average minute ventilation during the selected period
TgMV = Target minute ventilation .. Minute ventilation the device is attempting to achieve

Thankyou. That all makes sence

Also, you will find that MV = VT x RR
example. VT = 500 ml (0.5 Liters) and RR = 15 per minute
MV = 0.5 x 15 = 7.5 Liters per minute
