Nose thickling - 431jaro - 10-16-2015

Hi,
After more than a year with my CPAP, I always have my nose tickling, I wake up dozen of time during the night, and now I end up removing the mask while I sleep.
In the morning I recorded 2 to 4 hours of wearing.
I tried all kind of treatments, suck as: vinegar rubbing (smell pickles), Purell aloes, Emo-Cort ointment, allergie pills, all this to no real results.
I stopped using my CPAP for 6 weeks now and it did not change anything, still tired.
Anyone has a suggestion for my tickling nose ??? Thanks

I get the same problem. I just read or watch a video and eventually it stops or I stop noticing it, not sure which. But sometimes I have to stop therapy move the nasal pillows and have a good 'ol scratch!

I notice in your profile you are male. Perhaps an older male?

This may be way off, but I'm older..............and if I don't treat my nose hairs, well lets just leave it at that, shall we? Bag-head

BTW: Welcome

See your doctor, you'll need to identify the root cause of the problem
Nasal pillows mask doesn't cover the nose, have you tried them?

You could try nasal rinses...the kind with the sqeeze bottle. Cleans nasal passages and helps if you have stuffiness.

If you use a nasal rinse, do it several hours before bed.

Also nasal sprays are good, and Ayr nasal gel.

Okay, thanks. I need a second cup of tea to recharge the batteries
Maybe see ENT doctor as the tickling affecting the treatment

Hi 431jaro,
WELCOME! to the forum.!
Get a nose trimmer to trim the hairs in your nostrils, that should help with the tickling.
Much success to you as you continue your CPAP therapy.
