Sleepyhead Wireless Xfer? - dwlims - 10-19-2015

Can I import Sleep data from my Resmed 10 wirelessly to my Sleepyhead software?

Taking the data card out and inserting it into my PC manually is kind of a pain. I know that Resmed is able to access my data, what about Sleepyhead?

Thank you for such a great piece of software!

Dwlims

Hi dwlims!

Welcome

Although your unit has wireless capability, it's not for detailed data transfer or patient use. It's designed to connect only to system subscribers (DME's or Doctors) for compliance data and possible remote setting adjustment. You will need to purchase a wirless SD card to replace the current SD card in the unit. Additionally, you'll need to obtain either SleepMaster or FlashPAP software in addition to an analytical software like SleepyHead(my preferred) or ResScan. SleepMaster and FlashPAP software packages are free and available by performing a search on this forum. SleepyHead is available by using the link at the top of this page.

Good Luck!

I've used both Sleepmaster and FlashPAP and they both work great with a FlashAir card.

OK thanks. Not really worth having to keep track of two SD cards. I think I can manage it the way it is for now.

Thanks!

Oh---Alan E, do you in fact use two different SD cards, one for compliance and one for your own use? Want to make sure I understand your comment ...

The wireless SD card is a direct replacement for your current card. It can be used for both compliance and data transfer. It's nothing more than a regular SD card with wireless electronic circuitry.

Resmed accessses your data via a "modem" that operates on the cell phone network. They do not allow you to access that data. Some believe that only small amts of data go that route, but I have seen my detailed daily data in my DMEs copy of rescan and I never gave him a card - it came in thru the modem.

Sleepyhead cannot access the cellphone. However you can replace your SD card with a flashair card, and never take it out again. That is what I do. I do not swap cards. Flashair card stays in the machine instead of the stock card.

OK I think that makes sense. Resmed isn't using my card for data, just the cel data they are getting which they would get with no card in the machine.

If I replace the card with a flash air, does the machine take care of putting back all of the history on the new card? (Just in case a doc wants to see it)

Also, I had no luck installing the Flashpap app, just downloaded it but can't access it.

Lastly, how do you get your data over to sleepyhead?

first off - need flashair sd card. should get version 2 or 3 of the card. Then there are several threads showing how to set them up.

These cards are not cheap. Can I get away with 16 GB?
