Don't accept it. Once you do, you're likely stuck with it for 5 years.

WHy won't you be able to see your data with the Dreamstation? I Have it and I can see data... it doesn't have sleepyhead yet, but I assume that the wheels for that are in motion.

Don't accept it even for a moment.

I don't know anything about it's features except that I've never heard of it, don't know anybody who has one, it's a fixed pressure machine and AFAIK it doesn't work with SleepyHead.

Agree, don't accept it! There is nothing wrong with the DreamStation, but neither machine is support by sleepyhead software.

Here is a link to help you avoid your DME's nonsense.

Note the machines that are APAP's and the list of machines to avoid. Your DME will surely try to give you a Cpap instead of an APAP. Don't fall for it.

So you think the sreamstationDreamStation is comparable with the Resmed airsense auto 10 for her? I like the slow ramp on the resmed

I wouldn't be expecting new machines to be added to SleepyHead anytime in the very near future.

It should eventually happen, but I wouldn't buy a machine expecting it in the next month or two.

Here is the supported hardware list:

http://sleepyhead.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Supported_Hardware#CPAP_Machines

If it's not on the list as "well supported" I wouldn't take it.

The Dreamstation is the latest from Phillips_Respironics. It's data capable; and soon will be coded into sleepyhead.
As of today, the Resmed airsense auto 10 for her is likley your best choice.
Either machine is superior to the 3B Luna.

Sounds like you know what you. Get a written copy of your Rx and shop around.

Note that this list hasn't been updated in a while... the ResMed AirSense 10 models have been supported for nearly a year; I am not sure of the status of the AirCurve 10 models.

I believe JediMark is working on the DreamStation now.
