Wearing a nightguard and AHI numbers - Dagmar1 - 12-02-2015 Hi, I've noticed that when I wear my night guard, my AHI goes up and vice versa. Anyone else have this experience? My AHI I usually 2 or below, but has accelerated with the night guard into high 3's to 4's. Yes, I know that is still within "range". But, the one night the AHI was 1, I -finally- felt un-Zombified RE: Wearing a nightguard and AHI numbers - cate1898 - 12-02-2015 Yes I had the exact same experience. My AHI went up but I think it was because I was using a cheap night guard from Walmart that went on the top teeth as opposed to my night guard that the dentist made which went on the bottom. It's hard to keep a good seal with your tongue if you have a night guard in the top of your mouth. |
