Breathing problem Capp fail - pauls poison - 02-03-2016

Hi all, I have been using Capp for 12 months, with just a few startup issues . I was sleeping well 6 to 8 months. Now I'm lucky to get 1 hour. Before I wake up. The only thing that has changed is I now take endep for nerve pain. Sleep-well

Welcome fellow sandgroper!

I also take endep for fibromyalgia (not sure if it actually does much) but it doesn't have a negative effect on my sleep. If anything it helps me sleep better.

Could you give us some more details of the problem? Are you woken by leaks, mask discomfort or what? When you wake up can you go back to sleep? The hot humid nights lately have made it hard to sleep regardless - and more to come next week. Sad

I would take the sd card in to the sleep clinic, maybe you need new pressure settings?

A little googling shows that amatryptiline makes apnea worse.

You'll need to talk to your doctor. your problem is fixable with either different settings or a different machine. You just need to get it taken care of.

Go see your doc.

Your machine produces great data that can be read with the Sleepyhead software available on this forum (see top of page). Download it and post a screenshot of your daily data. http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php?title=Attaching_Images_and_Files_on_Apnea_Board

There is a good chance someone on the forum can help.

On this site, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0044762/#DDIC602731.side_effects_section, the side effect of not being able to sleep is listed although they didn't know how often this occurs.

Might want to review with your doctor whether you need a new med or if the dose can be adjusted downward and still give you effective relief from nerve pain while not interfering with your sleep.
