need help setting apap limits - cobaltpanther - 02-04-2016

I will be switching from CPAP to APAP this weekend and i need some advise on what pressure settings to use. i currently have a pressure of 16. What should i use as the minimum and maximum? i was thinking 14 and 18. Is this a good place to start or does anyone have a better idea? Also, once i start, how long should i wait before i make adjustments if any are needed? Thanks

It sounds like a viable plan. Then watch your data, especially the graphical data for a week.
If you're bumping up against the upper limit much of the time, that may need to be increased.
If your obstructive apnea rate goes up, the lower (min) limit may need to be raised.

Cobaltpanther, I agree your proposed settings of 14-18 are probably very good, assuming you get good results at 16 on fixed CPAP. After a week or so you will see if you need to go higher, or if the unit stays at the minimum pressure, you might be able to allow a lower pressure.

Good luck with your new machine.
