Chin Strap - I_will_never_sleep_again - 03-07-2016
There is a big difference in the quality of chin straps.
I bought 2 online from Amazon, I think they were $20 a pc. They stretched out in a matter of days.
I just bought one from 1-800-cpap and the quality is so much better. It cost me $30, but worth it. The brand was PureSom by Care Fusion.
I had tried nasal masks, nasal pillows with no luck, The full face masks I have been using all leak. My mouth kept opening even with chin strap.
Last night I used my Dreamwear mask with the NEW chinstrap and I slept 7 1/2 hrs straight, first time in over 4 months. I had a zero leak rate and an Ahi of .25. I only had 2 marks on the event graph.
I may have found my unicorn.

Sounds like you have found the right combination of mask and chin strap. I'm a mouth breather as well and need to use a chin strap with my Mirage Activa Lt mask. Not all chin straps are created equal. I'm using a resmed chin strap now. Seems to work well. But I did order a Ruby brand off amazon. Seems many recommend it.
I'm still in search of a full face mask aka FFM for when I have a cold or allergies.
