nasal mask doing better - jxyzobrien - 04-10-2016

still tired

I switched to nasal mask from full mask. that is helping a lot.
I still wake out every 4 hours.

I have adapted to the mask and i am getting more comfortable

The full mask was a nightmare and i woke up gasping for breath.

I still have to take 2 naps a day without the mask to get thru day

no mask leaks

resmed s9 machine

made ramp time 20 mins

I was told by rotech (equipment company) that air too intense
to hit button to pause

waiting to go see pulmonary doc with machine stats later this month

any suggestions would be welcome

Hi jxyzobrien,
It’s good to hear that you are doing better by switching to a nasal mask.
Hang in there for more responses to your post.

If you post your pressure and other settings it will help members to give you better advice. The more info the better. If you wake up gasping for air, it sounds like your min pressure is too low. I am still new to this, but others can help
