My S9 Autoset reports most of my apnia events as being central. Some obstructive but mostly central. Can anyone tell me if the S( is capable of accurately detecting centrals from obstructive?

Thank you

Hello:

I am new to this site and am trying to find out how to review the data on my Resmed Escape II machine. I can't afford to keep going back to the study center. It has been preset by them, but I am interested in knowing how many events I have each night. Can someone tell me what I need to do this? I see card readers and cards are available online, but don't know compatibility or software required. Any help is greatly appreiciated.

Hey Paul, welcome to our little corner of the world! Welcome
I use an old machine with no data capability so I can't be of much help, but someone will probably be along any minute now that can answer all your questions! Smile

Not as accurate as in your sleep study. Apnea must take place when we are,re asleep. Look at the ResScan and if those events when you,re awake or falling asleep then they don,t count bc for apnea to be counted we have to be asleep as the S9 cannot tell the difference.

ResMed Escape models are not data capable machines and only report compliance data on the card or machine and nothing else. If interested in efficacy data to monitor your therapy you need the S9 Autoset or the Elite.

I assume that includes the Escape II as well? Thank you.

ResMed Escape II = not data-capable (only provides usage [compliance] data).

Sad
