You have got to be kidding me... - FrankNichols - 04-23-2016

I received my brandy new chin strap to try out with my nasal pillows since it seems I am a mouth breather... Sad

And, are you ready for this? It came with a 62 page "Instructions for use" manual.

You have got to be kidding me!

(it's 1/2 page in 62 languages)

There are four steps

1. Put on mask and head gear
2. Close your mouth
3. Put on chin strap
4. Adjust straps

This is the Phillips Respironics Premium Chin Strap. I would hate to have received their CPAP machine manual - it probably would have to be delivered with a fork lift Smile

Actually, the user manual for the DS560 is 24 pages, and the provider guide is 16 pages. The chinstrap manual must be full of disclaimers, like "The chinstrap is not effective for treating snoring when used alone," or "Prolonged use without cleaning may cause skin irritation."

Pretty close, here is THE page (which is repeated 62 times):

I like the warning - "In the event of power failure the chin strap will not allow the mouth to open."

Darn, I need to send this one back, I want the one that allowed my mouth to open in case of power failure! (sarcasm!)

Daria -- you stole my joke...

Where's the "may contain lead" warning?

Oh, and look at that caution under intended use -- it's a prescription item.
Now the "you've got to be kidding me" has some meaning. [Image: gnorsi.gif]
