Downloading current version - Rip and Rosie - 05-31-2016

I am running Sleepy Head v9.8-1 and want to download v1.0.0 beta-2.

In simple terms, can some one tell me if I will lose data, and if I can prevent it?

I have changed machines and SD cards in the time I have been using the program.

I didn't so I would think you will be fine.

I have moved your thread here to Software Support. I believe that to be on the safe side you should back up your SleepyHead database. However, I also believe that your machine has all the data it has ever collected on your SD card, so you are doubly safe.

I think I recall something about having to rebuild your SleepyHead database once you upgrade, but someone else should be able to tell you for sure what you need to do.

When I did the upgrade I had no problems and lost no data.

Saving your existing data is a good idea, just to be safe, and to be able to revert to using the old version for any reason. The new version will rebuild you existing data in a new format which the old version cannot read.

You (probably) won't have any problems, though.
