Obstructive vs Central Apnea - rvlasek - 06-13-2016

Diagnosed with severe Sleep Apnea with AHI of 45 in early March 2016. My therapy is Resmed Autosense 10 with pressures set to 13-18. Using Full Face Mask, Flexfit 431. Therapy been successful, last 30 days average of Apnea index of 4.0,

However, my Central Apnea index of 2.5 is higher than Obstructive index of 1.4.

Should that be any concern or is that a normal ratio of Central to Obstructive indexes????

Respiratory Indices -
events/hr
Apnea Index: 4.0
Hypopnea Index: 0.3
Obstructive: 1.4
Central: 2.5
Unknown: 0.0
RERA Index: 0.1

AHI: 4.4

There is no normal ratio of CA to OA.
You likely have some short pressure induced apneas that are scored as CA.
Take a look at duration on Sleepyhead. If they are 10 to 15 seconds, not really an issue.
