how to read data without SD card - asdftalk - 06-30-2016

One of My family members uses RESstar and lives in a different city. How could I read data for him:
Is it possible for him to email me some raw data file and I use software to open it?
With regular card reader, how to save the raw data file?

Thanks Rolleyes

Yes.
  1. Create a directory on the sender's computer.
  2. Copy the contents of the SD card to the directory
  3. Zip the contents of the directory and email it to you.
  4. Decompress the data and save it to your computer under a directory with nothing else in it.
  5. Get SleepyHead and install it.
  6. When it asks for the import data location, point it to this directory.
  7. Your good to go.

I hope I didn't make this too brief.

One question about Step 2: does it need any specific software to copy the contents of the SD card to a hard drive? What is the correct type of file for the contents of the SD card?

The SD card is not magic, it is just a tiny, solid-state hard drive. It has regular files on it just like the hard drive. Just copy them as you would any files from any drive.

what kind of files are in the SD card? I got the files emailed by my family, which contains file with extensions of .001 , .002. Are they downloaded from SD card correctly?

If they are organized into sub-directories, that sounds correct for the name.

I am curious where I can see the step by step instruction on how to use RESScan?

I installed it and find no way to import the data file. Could someone give me a hint on how to proceed?

G'day asdftalk
ResScan for ResMed machines, doesn't work with any other machines
SleepyHead or Encore Basic http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Forum-Private-Files-and-Links for Respironcis machines

ResScan is not for Remstar Auto CPAP ?
