Hours on CPAP machine - what is correct - stephennic - 08-30-2016

Hi,
On the dreamstation I'm trying its got 721.5 machine hours, 285. 1 therapy hours and 285.3 blower hours. Why is it all different? Which would show the actual use of machine?
Thanks
Cheers
Steve

Are these your hours or someone else's that (rented) the machine prior to you?

Therapy hours are the hours you were actually wearing your mask and hooked up to machine.
The machine hours are a total of actual therapy hours and blower hours. If I'm wrong, someone correct me.

Sometimes the machines are blowing air without anyone hooked up....for one reason or another.

The Cpap can tell if you actually hooked up and breathing, or just letting machine run without you being attached.

721.5 machine hours is none resettable.
285.1 therapy hours is hours used to deliver therapy since the last time data was erased.
285.3 blower hours exceeds therapy hours by .2 because the machine blows air for a short time after therapy is turned off.
