EncorePro problem - Triggerracing - 09-15-2016

So I'm getting an error that SQL failed to download when installing EncorePro 2. You think I should try to later on tonight or early in the morning?

I sent this as a PM to you as well, but:

Could be a couple of things... either your EncorePro install file got corrupted during the download, or the SQL download site (which isn't on Apnea Board) is off-line or busy for some reason.

In either case, I would delete your installation file completely, re-download sometime between 11 pm and 7 am your local time, which will help ensure that web traffic is at a minimum. Then try the install again. Keep in mind that the installation may appear to "hang" for quite a while, but it does this normally and takes several minutes to install on some systems.

One thing you want to make sure of is to not have other programs open during the installation and don't do anything else on the web during the install, which might slow things down or cause time-outs. You might even want to disable your anti-virus software temporarily, then do the install, then re-enable your anti-virus software after the installation is complete. Also, make sure you're running the EncorePro installation file as an "Adminstrator" (go to Microsoft's website and search for "how to run programs as administrator").

that's just off the top of my head, so maybe others can provide other possible solutions.

Good points SuperSleeper,

Might i also add, People may need to check with microsoft update for the people running windows, to check they have the latest versions of their software installed.

I never succeeded in installing EncorePro either (win 10x64). Encore basic installs easily. I read on another forum that the difference between Pro and Basic is the database. So if you're not tracking multiple users, there's no difference in data readout.
