New system one pro not writing data - gene1951 - 08-02-2012

Hello, Im new here. I have been using cpap for several years and just got a replacement unit, a system one pro. I tried to read the sd card and using sleepyhead it says no data. when I put the card back in the machine and check status is shows unprotected and 100% available. In 2 days it has stored no data. I cannot find a setting that would have disabled the writing to the card. Just wondering if Im missing something or if its broke.
Thanks

Hello and welcome
If the machine don,t display efficacy data on the screen, more likely its not enabled in the clinical menu. Check the card is in unlocked position
You can get the manual via email and the video will show how to unlock it

Hi gene1951, First, WELCOME! to the forum.! I don't know the answer to your question but I'm sure someone will be along shortly to help you, best of luck on figuring things out with your new CPAP machine.

Is your machine a x50 or x60 model. If yes, I am having the same issue. Sleephead will not read the data. If you have an sd card reader you will find out that the data is there. If you turn your turning knob to info and push the button down you can read the data. It should show you daily, weekly and yearly data.

SleepHead doesn't support the 60 series yet (the one with heated hose)
For the 60 series you need EncoreBasic or Encore Pro 2.8?

Thanks for the replies. Im not sure what machine it is, the rental agreement says S9, but the machine and manual says System One pro cflex+. I can see data by turning the knob and I see some files on the sd card, but cant seem to read it with sleepyhead or resscan 4.1. they both say no data. sleepyhead read a header info or something that shows the serial number and I think model 460. Ive only had it 2 days, so maybe it doesnt write the data until after a week?
guess time will tell. nothing in the manual about it.
thanks,
gene

Which one? If its System One - check the label at the bottom of the machine, If not mistaken it should say 450 or 460
ResScan is ResMed software only works with ResMed machines (S9)
SH supports both PRS1 (50 series) and S9

I checked the bottom of the machine and is says 460P. So I guess its a system one instead of an S9 unit? rental paper says S9 but the serial number matches the machine so I guess it doesnt matter. I assume the resscan software wont work on this model either?

That is correct. You have a Respironics machine and you are trying to use ResMed software. It is just not compatible. It's like trying to put a Chevy alternator into a Ford. Not gonna happen! I would question your DME on why the paperwork says one thing and you received something else though. If compliance is an issue with your insurance and the paperwork does not match up you could get into an issue with the insurance folks. Not to mention, did you really get the machine that was paid for?

The amount of data stored per night is so small that it may show 100% available even if it's recording properly.

SleepyHead doesn't work with the 560 machines yet. Hopefully, Mark will get back to working on SH soon and add the 60 series machines.
