Software Capability - dpalzhei - 11-30-2016

Hi,
I have used a Phillips Dream Station w humidifier for several months now. What functionality does the various software packages provide the user? I presume it is monitoring only and will not allow any changes to the settings such as ramp rate or pressure. Is this a correct assumption? Thanks for your help.
Dave

Ramp rate or pressure is all done with your Xpap machine. The software is for evaluating how well you are responding to the Xpap machine.

You can change machine settings as well as track data with EncorePro. I used it for several months until SleepyHead became available for DreamStation. I have, however, used SleepyHead almost exclusively since it became available. It is much easier to navigate than EncorePro. EncorePro is meant for a clinical setting with multiple patients and/or doctors. Another down side for EncorePro is you have to download your data every day. You will lose the detailed data for any day(s) you put off downloading. With SleepyHead, however, you can download the data whenever you choose without having to worry about losing any of it. The graphical interface is also much better in SleepyHead. SleepyHead only tracks data, but it does that very well and in great detail.
