Question for Airfit F10 Users - PaytonA - 12-02-2016 I am testing a hypothesis and need your help. If you are using an F10 FFM mask with 95% leak results below 20 l/min, do you have any problem with dry mouth? Yes or no. Thanks for any responses, PaytonA RE: Question for Airfit F10 Users - OldVet - 12-02-2016 I am relatively new on Apnea Board. I am also relatively new to CPAP therapy. Over the past month, I've figured out my Resmed Airfit F10/Dreams station setup. I kept waking up with dry mouth. This made sense since I was a mouth breather. To fix the issue, I took a velcro strap and affixed it underneath my chin. It was a bicycle item meant to go around a pant leg. I ran it around the lower chin straps on the F10. It worked like a charm. I don't have any major leaks. There's a little repor[/u]ted leak in Sleepyhead due to the leak around the mask hose fitting. That is a design feature so it doesn't matter. Two posts in one night from a newbie lol. Gotta give the love back! So yes, had dry mouth, added chin strap, no dry mouth. Minimal leak now due to hose connection. RE: Question for Airfit F10 Users - PsychoMike - 12-03-2016 I don't usually get that big of a leak, but with the local relative humidity, I still get a dry mouth sometimes. |
