ResScan 5.7 will not run on windows7 - Iant01 - 12-12-2016
Hi, new to this forum and need some help.
Have not previously had ResScan installed on my Windows 7 Professional 32bit system. Download the new 5.7 version from the link supplied and installed without any issues. But when I attempt to run the program it hangs at the resscan banner screen and windows reports th program is not responding. I did not install the optional drivers.
Have tried changing permissions, starting with "Run as administrator" , turning off antivirus software with no change in behavior. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling with antivirus disadled and still no go with same hang behavior. Event log does not provide anything.
Any help, would prefer to use the resscan rather than sleepyhead.

It works fine on my Win 7 pro box. I did have an older version installed previously though. I did do an uninstall but didn't check to see if it uninstalled cleanly. I am doubting that it did. If the permissions on the ResScan folder are good, try right clicking the icon from start menu and choose troubleshoot compatibility. It might help. Not putting much hope in it but you never know, might get lucky.
