Coughing & Restlessness - Autarch - 01-31-2017

To what degree does coughing, yawning, and restlessness interfere with data collection by a machine, and how do the machines interperate coughing and yawning?

Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and had my lowest AHI I've had @ 4.9. After coming back to bed I was coughing and having a lot of issues falling back asleep and was tossing around. By the time I got it I had an AHI of 9.1 and I assume that is due to the issues I mentioned but I was not sure.

If wake time action does interfere with the gathering of statistics is there a way I can tim that time out of sleepyhead? I can take up to a hour to fall asleep sometimes.

In sleepyhead you can turn off and on sessions. Look in the bottom left under machine settings. There is a list of sessions. You can turn them off and remove them from your numbers.

Just don't let that feature lull you into a false sense of security.
