If you have the RemStar Pro, you have a manual Cpap that cannot adjust pressures to meet your needs.
You can download #SleepyHead software to monitor your own progress.

What is your AHI reading?

Thanks
My AHI is 26
My Cpap has an automatic adjustment to Presure I think

Turn your machine over and tell us the exact model number. Empty humidifier first.

7 years plus 50 pounds -- likely things have changed.
The "Pro" in the name makes me think it's a fixed CPAP; but may have a 30 day auto-trial mode.

RE: CHANGE IN WEIGHT - E.W. - 03-13-2017

With a weight gain of 50 lbs and a 7 year old machine a new sleep study
and or a new machine might not be a bad idea. Oh even if you have an
apap usually they are set to a pressure range depending on the patient.
So suppose your was set to start at 9.5 and raise to 13 if needed if you
gained all that weight perhaps you might now need a starting pressure
of 12 and a max setting of 16. But without a lot of data you just can't tell.
I hate the idea as much as anyone but with a 50 lb weight gain a new sleep
study might not be a bad idea. And 7 years is a lot of use on a machine
if you could get a new one I sure would. Or another thing you may want to
do is download SleepyHead and look at your data.

RE: CHANGE IN WEIGHT - Marillion - 03-13-2017

My advice would be to definitely get a new sleep study done and look into getting a new machine.

RE: CHANGE IN WEIGHT - yyanco1 - 03-13-2017

Thanks
The machine is only 2.5 years old
My first study. (Whole night) was done 7 yr ago. My most recent one was done at home with this instrument I used to measure.  Not as methodical as first one   I think the machine is not a Cpap.  But an apap. Thanks

I'll let the more experienced folks comment on the machine based on the model numbers you provided. If it has been 7 years since your last official sleep study and you have gained significant weight.  It would be a good idea to get an official sleep study done to get a better idea of where your settings "should" be and then tweak them further after posting some Sleepyhead software results for the fine experienced folks here to analyze.  Since your AHI sounds too high to me, using CPAP or APAP machine, whichever you might have.  I think your settings need to be changed to get your AHI lower.
