Oxymeter with ResScan - pat767 - 04-30-2017

Hi everyone,

New to the boards and to the CPAP world, currently done 4 nights on APAP.

I ordered a CMS50I oxymeter. From what I have read so far, I can import the data into Sleepyhead.

But can it somehow be imported into ResScan?

I understand that you can connect an optional module + oxymeter to the Airsense 10 Autoset, but costs a fortune.

Thanks for your help and patience. I hope to be reading these forums regularly.

Pat

Hi pat767! - Welcome
The CMS50's can only be used with SleepyHead.  Like you said, ResScan will only work with Resmed's megabuck oximeter.

So basically, when I'll meet up with the doctor for my first follow-up visit, I can verbally relay min/max/avg information to him?

That would complete the report nicely.

Speaking of which, when I pass by to have my reports printed before seeing the doctor, they're printing from ResScan, correct?

Your CMS50 data will appear on the Statistics page of SleepyHead.  Depending if your doctor will accept it, you could present him/her with a printout of this  page,   If you are under some required monitoring authority, then ResScan will probably be your only route since SleepyHead hasn't been approved or certified.  .  .  That I know of.

Edit:
After looking at your screen name, you might be a Boeing driver. If you need to report to the TCCA or FAA then ResScan is your only avenue.

Pat,

My PMD was quite pleased with the reports from the SpO2 Assistant - The sw that came with  my CMS50.  He was not at all bothered that the time stamps were not exactly in sync with the reports from ResScan.  Additionally, the same SpO2 reports were accepted by the equipment provided to fill an Rx for supplemental nighttime O2.
