What was your average wait/delivery time for receiving your machine after it was prescribed to the medical supply company?

My last one - I got an upgrade to the resmed elite s9 in about 2 weeks.

I talked to several people recently at work who have same insurance and it was 4-6 weeks.
I called my medical supply provider and they said I was on the list...and they got 25 -30 orders a day.
I am really looking forward to getting the new resmed airsense 10 and digging into the software to see how well I sleep.

About a week after the DME recieved the complete prescription. I did a lot of calling to set up the appointments. I used Advanced Home Care here in NC. They tell you that they will call you to arrange, however they were very accomidating when i called to set up appointments, etc. I think if you want to get it as quickly as you can, give 'em a call.

Agree, call them to set up an appointment. And while your at it, confirm what machine you will be getting. They tend to give out the most basic machine. You should make sure your script says Auto Cpap with a pressure range listed. Call your doctor to confirm.

My DME took over three weeks to get my machine and set up appointment.

I'm sure that they are all different and depends how busy they are.

I called a DME I wanted to use, promised to bring my Rx & sleep study report, and I had the machine & supplies in my hands 3 hours later.

Can you use a different DME?

My insurance company sent me preferred providers I googled all of them, and they had one star reviews - cowrkers that had apnea and the same insurance recommended this company said they were tip top on customer service and response time.
I will call again and push for it ASAP.

I too set up an appointment and it only took a week for everything to arrive.

Depends on what machine, but it took about 2 weeks to get my machine in and 1 week for the appointment (Medicare requires 'training'). My brother got his bipap in about 11 days (also Medicare). Many DMEs will not even set up the appointment until they have all the paperwork assembled so that they not only get paid, but will pass an audit should that happen.

Already, this doesn't sound good for me. I was given 3 DME's to choose from by my insurance: Apria, Rotech, and Lincare. I had been working with Rotech with a local supplier called CPO2. They were OK in customer service. I decided to switch to Apria as they have ResMed devices and have a local office which is closer than CPO2 of Rotech.

Due to comments on AB, I'm guessing I am in for new battles with getting the ASV device I will be assigned soon. Any comments on Apria that is current would be helpful. If necessary, I will create a new post about them. Thanks.
