ResScan Installed-Now where to start? - Gplrdengr - 06-22-2017

I am using the ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset.  As delivered, it does not have an SD card installed.   Can I buy a standard SD card and install it in the slot?  What specs and size do I need to follow for the card?  I will be using the SD card reader in my DELL computer.  Any precautions to be taken?
Regards,
Gerald

Any Class 10 SD card will work. Minimum size card would be 2GB but since 16, 32 even 64 GB are less than $10US, I would just get one of those.
No precautions with the A10. Just make sure the card is not locked when you put it in your CPAP machine.

Thanks.  Is the blank SD card automatically configured when it is inserted into the ResMed Air 10 SD socket?  I'm assuming that this is with power removed from the unit.  I noticed in reading through the ResScan information that quite a bit of data including serial numbers and patient data are written to the card.

From memory the machine will ask to format the card first time you use it. Allow the format to proceed and the machine will initialise the card. As you say it will record the serial numbers, pressure settings and any existing summary data.

New SD card installed and everything is great.  Thanks for all the help.  I removed power from the CPAP unit, installed a Lexar 16gb SDHC UHA-i SD card in the SD slot, and reapplied power.  On power-up, the message came up of wait, loading data to the card.  I waited a few minutes, removed power and took the card out and installed it in my computer.  ResScan found it immediately and all the information is there.  At this point, no detailed info is available, but the last 40 days of summary data are.  I look forward to seeing how this goes now that the card is  installed back into the ResMed unit. Thanks

That's good to hear. One note; You don't have to power down your CPAP to remove or install the SD card.
