Not showing episodes on sleep report - Tinylinda - 07-18-2017

I can feel I'm having episodes that wake me every 10 minutes avg.   yet my sleep report doesn't report them, might say 0 or .3 episodes.  What's going on here??

do you mean you seem to be awakened abruptly about every 10 minutes? the machine may not record these as events that are counted as apneas. they are obviously disruptions, but may not be related to breathing. what does it feel like when you have "an episode."

Tinylinda, If you in fact have an Autoset machine and are not seeing data in ResScan or #Sleephead, then you may be having respiratory event related arousals (RERA), These should be recorded by the machine but the best way to see what is going on would be to zoom in on the Flow Rate chart and look for these arousals. Your pressure is exceptionally low, and that may be the problem.

It feels like an abrupt awakening.   The only kind I've ever experienced, which was what sent me to the sleep dr in the first place.

Linda, try changing your settings to 6 minimum, 8 maximum. Your current settings of 4-6 may simply be too low to support good respiration and you are waking. Do you ever feel air-starved?
