dreamstation humidifier and hose leak - jacob.fullmer - 07-31-2017

i have the dreamstation CPAP machine with the humidifier.  my wife has been complaining that it whistles.  I usually sleep so deeply that i dont hear it but last night i did.  after turning the hose attachment to the humidifier the whistling stopped.  is seems that the attachment is where the whistling comes from.  has any one else had this happen and if so how can it be fixed.  thanks

see if the dry box assembly is cracked or worn out.

I have the same problem. I took the humidifier lid seal out and washed it with dish soap and hot water and let dry. I also wiped down the inside lid to dry it. After the seal was dry I put it back in place and noticed that it had a tighter fit around the swivel clip. Not sure but I think some moisture worked its way between the swivel clip and seal causing a whistle sound. I did a mask test at 25cm and no whistle while turning the swivel. I'll see how it goes tonight. You might want to try it. Only takes a few minutes.
