Any veterans in the gulf coast area Mississippi? [VA question] - SleepyBo - 09-18-2017

I have been out of the service for almost 10 years now, and recently started using my cpap equipment again. I had some still brand new masks boxed up and found my old machine that the military gave me, an S8 Autoset Vantage. The reason was is because I started working on a shell FPSO and their physical required a 15 day report to pass if you have apnia. It wasnt like I could lie, and I know were I was going There wouldn't be any spare rooms I could have to my self like I have procured in the past. I have been told that in the middle of the night, my snoring is so bad it makes the walls buckle lol.
So I busted out my old equipment, gave it a good cleaning and strapped that torture device on me for at least 4 hours for 15 strait days, and emailed them a report using Rescan.
I also found a deal for a s10 airsence autoset with 10 hours on it online for $200. I went ahead and bought to leave offshore. I really like that model, I don't wake up near as bloated and it seams to respond better. I also don't wake up with the machine on full blast blowing the mask off my face. I pretty much have my pressures figured out were I can usually sleep all the way thru. I have found that I haven't been nodding off near as much, driving isn't quite as dangerous anymore either,(nodding off while driving was actually getting real bad as of late) so I have decided to stick with the therapy again.

My questions for the local vets around here is, What machine does the VA like to give out. Do they hassle you on compliance? Do they give you options? How many masks do they give you every 6 months? When i was in the service, I got 4 every 6 months.
I plan on getting my old S8 replaced at the house and having them provide me with new masks. My old machine only has 1700 hours on it, but it is rather old, noisy and obsolete compared to that S10 I have. The only thing I don't like about the S10 is the hose comes out the back, that is a dumb design imo.
I have my 6 month checkup coming up pretty soon and was going to spring it on them when i get there.
