Resmed mask [Swift II replacement] - HerbWarren - 09-27-2017

I have been using the ResMed Mirage Swift II mask for many years, with the Large nasal pillows. Now my supplier tells me they can't get it anymore. Can anyone suggest a similar mask? I've tried the Swift LT, but found it could not give me a good seal. Also tried the Respironics Dreamweaver. Was able to get a decent seal on my nose with the medium nose pillow, but the noise of the air going threw the pillows was horrendous. Plus, I felt myself straining to breath at my normal pressure of 12 cfm. so, nix on that mask also. Also tried the F & P Brevada but didn't care for that one neither. So many masks out there, I can't afford to buy/try them all.

If you want to stick with nasal pillows, the two biggest/popular right now are the Nuance and the P10.

The Nuance comes with 2 different types of headgear (but not in same box). One is all fabric and the other has a gel pad on the cheek/temple area. The pillows don't go into the nostrils but form the seal just on the outside of them.

The P10 has one kind of unadjustable headgear. Many people have no problem with it but nearly as many have had to make modifications. The best thing about the P10 is it is very, very quiet since the vent is diffused.

My first thought is ResMed P10 Pillows.

That said, can you call your DME and tell them that you need a Mask Fitting because your old mask is not available.  Take your machine with you, it is already set up for how you use it.

You can also try with a sleep lab clinic.

Finally I know Supplier #1 has return insurance, free in some cases, I'm sure others likely have it.

I moved from the Swift FX to the Airfit P10 in 2014 and never looked back. The Swift FX is available at nearly all of the suppliers, so my guess is yours has elected not to carry it anymore. You could look elsewhere.
