Segmented Sleep - Fatigue During the day - BlueJay22 - 10-28-2017

Hi All,

I have been struggling w my treatment for the past 6 months.

While more recently my AHI is good, I still tend to wake up 3 to 4 times a night and have segmented sleep, with the feeling I need to go to the washroom.

- I still wake up tiered
- I still have fatique during the day

I am using a Full face mask and do my best to sleep on my side

EPR set to 3, I have experimenting with lowering it but not had too many good results

looking for some good feedback to help me sleep throughout the night ......

Can you rearange the sleep head charts in the order that ic suggested in my signature under organize sleepyhead charts. This will help us help you with suggestions.

There is nothing obvious from this chart that suggests a cause for your sleep interruptions. We have a low event rate and pretty normal looking statistics. Pressure is driven mainly by flow limitation, and reaches the maximum pressure of 11.2 several times through the night, as that is both your 95% and max pressure. Therapy breaks generally occur at a higher pressure.

If you had not already mentioned, EPR, I would have probably suggested a reduction to try out. I'm kind of left with allowing maximum pressure to go to 12, or perhaps concluding CPAP may not be the cause of the disruptions/ awakenings. Get as comfortable as possible, and use a soft hose cover. Try to be aware of what is arousing you from your sleep. If you want to look more closely at the circumstances of arousal, you can zoom in on the flow rate chart and look for a change in breathing pattern prior to the therapy disruption. If it is related to sleep disordered breathing then your answer lies in the close-up view.

Not helpful.  We need to see the Flow rate graph, which is respiration flow, not the mask pressure.

From what I can see there is nothing much to worry about. We very rarely get things perfact. Anything under 5 is considered treated. The next question is how you are feeling? The thing is it takes a long period of time to repair our bodies from yaers of damage. I heard of it taking from 3 months all the way to a year. Each of use are different , so have patience good things will come in time.

I think the problem may be a habit, where you get up and go to the bathroom when arouse, rather than just going back to sleep. Is there a need to urinate, or is it urgent? The act of getting up and walking to the restroom is much more disruptive. When you gotta go, you gotta go, but do you?

I read you use klonopin. I just read a little on it . It sounds nasty stuff. Have you tried asking if there is an alternative to it that you might not be subject to the side effect of tiredness. Again I am not a doctor. This is just a thought.
