(self) Improved headgear for Airfit P10 Mask - zelda - 01-01-2018 Previously I had small but long duration leaks with the Airfit P10. Cleaned the headgear all 5 days with hot water and washing powder from hand. I also used the clips to shorten the headgear, the resulats were "mixed". I cut a pice from an old headgear an replaced it with some quality elastic tape like this: Commercial Link Removed. Instead, google search Super Elastic 7M tape. --> The force to strech this tape fells more linear than the Resmed tape. The total lenght is now a bit longer than a stock "laundered" one. The new elastic tape needs a little bit more force to strech. Now I clean also everyday befor bed with a towel the entry from the nose with hot tap water, without soap. Results: - 95% Leak rate: 0.0 l/min in a scope of 14 days! - Slighty lower (30 to 50%) and more steady AHI. - The hair from the backside are in the morning not "constructed" -----

RE: (self) Improved headgear for Airfit P10 Mask - trish6hundred - 01-02-2018 Hi zelda, Thanks for sharing your idea to improve the P10 headgear. RE: (self) Improved headgear for Airfit P10 Mask - Corvette817 - 01-04-2018 Hi Zelda, how did you attach the ends of the new tape to the existing headgear straps? Thank you. RE: (self) Improved headgear for Airfit P10 Mask - zelda - 01-04-2018 I put the elastic tap with a help from a tweezer about 10mm inside the hose. Then I sew it with about 8 stitches. |
