Pillow sizing off? - paulag1955 - 02-03-2018

I replaced the pillows on my Airfit P10 yesterday and it was not a particularly successful experience. I would swear the new pillows are larger than the ones they replaced, even though they are both the same size. I actually had to use a mirror to seat them so that there was no leaking. Has anyone else ever had this kind of problem?

I have not heard of a design or size change, but have always said, most people will need a larger size then they think. Maybe they up-sized, but I kind of doubt they would make that kind of change to an established product line.

I am comparing them side by side and they look the same. However, they do not feel the same so I'm not sure what's going on with them.

How old were the pillows you replaced?  They do tend to get soft and squishy.  Mabye you were used to the feel of them compared to the new ones which would feel a little stiffer.   Dont-know

Hah! Yes, a little stiffer as in "hard as rocks."

I have to squeeze the both cones sometimes in order to get new pillows to seal well. They get better with a few days of usage.

Thanks, I will try that tonight.

I think OpalRose & pupcamper have it right. I bought 2 sets of P10's on sale, a For Her & a regular and tested all of the cushions in all of the sizes, and settled on the mediums as being 'the one for me.'

At that time, the 2 mediums were identical.

I've been using one of them ever since and just switched it out for the other one. It definitely seems different (perhaps larger). It is certainly firmer.

It just seems so weird, because I didn't have any problems getting a seal with the first two sets. Last night they were very difficult.

Try washing the new pillows with very warm water. That sometimes softens them.
