I had to change my DME now that I am on Medicare. I just received this notice from Resmed:

The serial number of the machine you had on file with myAir previously had a relationship with a provider. That provider has removed this machine from your account so it has also been removed from your myAir account.

I guess my machine is now off the radar. I never use myair so it doesn't make any difference. Since the "new" DME doesn't have my machine details I don't guess they will be able to fiddle with it.
Now I no longer have any concern over the airplane mode issue.

My DME went out of business with no successor, and I never got a notice and can still get MyAir. My loss your gain.
