CPAP masks and varying AHI and leaks. - Ticman1 - 05-16-2018

A little background.  I started CPAP therapy in May, 2017
I have the ResMed AirSense 10 Auto set
I started with ResMed Airfit N20
My pressure has always been 10
Hours slept has consistently been between6.5 and 8.5 hours

I have always been in compliance and have not used the equipment only twice within the year.

I am only using ResMed for data collection and not Sleepyhead.

MY PROBLEM/QUESTION

Decided I wanted to try a pillow mask.  After researching ad nauseum I settled on the Swift FX.
I started out with the Medium pillow and advanced to the Large.  I have been using this mask for 2 weeks.

Observations.

My mask seal leaks have spiked from 25 l/min to as high as 45 l/min
At the same time my events have jumped from below 1 consistently with N20 mask to 2 to 7 with average about 4 using the Swift.  I have tried to adjust the mask in very small increments to see if leaks can be reduced.  It’s been hit or miss.

I have ordered an Airfit P10 which should arrive today.  I will try and see if I have better luck.

I like the freedom of the pillows and really don’ want to go back to the N20.

Comments and suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks all.

All I can say is that LARGE leaks adversely affects MY treatment and also wakes me up.
