Should I be Concerned - Motomom - 01-28-2019

Looking back through my Sleepyhead data, I find several days where I've experience periodic breathing.  Should this be a concern for Cheyne Stokes?

That is absolutely NOT CSR.  It is entirely obstructive in nature and it is clustered Obstructive events which means it is likely your chin tucking.  If this is a one off forget about it but if it occurs frequently get a loose fitting soft cervical collar or an anti-snoring collar such as the Dr Dakotka (there are others).  These devices have had very good success at stopping these clustered obstructive events.

Thanks, Bonjour. I have the Calera collar but it feels too small for me, even though it is the largest they have. I'll look into the Dakota collar. Good to hear that this is not CSR.

I agree, just from looking at the flow and the incidence, that this is largely closed airway, not CSR.   Your leakage rate is also high, if still in the acceptable range, probably from your machine attempting to ramp up pressure in order to overcome airway resistance, which CSR.....................................................................................................................….ain't.

When Fred answers, you don't need much from me...100% agree.
