AHI can't get below low teens - AUGIEPURCHASE - 04-03-2019
[attachment=11102][attachment=11101][attachment=11100][attachment=11099][attachment=11098]After trial and error, the best results that I can get is in the low teens as far as AHI goes. I also got frustrated going back and forth to the "specialist" for setting adjustments, so took it on myself. I have attached the best week that I have had during my trial and error. As you can see from below, I have tried various settings to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. I do see that my hypopnea is higher than the other types but have gone crazy trying to lower it.
I pap settings
11 and 5 to
15 and 9 on 1/30. Stays in high teens ahi
16.5 and 9.5 on 2/3. Stays in low teens ahi
16.5 and 11 on 2/12 very low teens
17 and 11.5 on 2/20 middle teens
16.5 and 12.5 on 3/2 mid teens
16 and 10.5 on 3/5 mid-high teens
16.5 and 13 on 3/8 mid teens
16.5 and 11.5 on 3/14 min teens
16.5 and 10 on 3/26 high teens
17 and 11 on 3/30
16.5 and 12 on 4/3
I am using Encore2 but couldn't figure out how to export the week detail, so I only have pictures of the weekly summary. hope this helps.

The main issue I see is that your CA index is >5. You're having both obstructive and central events, meaning complex sleep apnea.
I don't care too much for bipap s/t machines fixing complex apnea. I prefer the bipap asv for these situations. Good news is that you've already been titrated to the bipap s/t, which is the same billing code to insurance as a bipap asv machine. Having a knowledgeable Dr. to write a prescription for bipap ASV will be key. That's where you may run into trouble. You could ask your DME for help here. Some will help, some won't. The DME should switch out the bipap s/t with the asv as soon as they have a prescription.
based off of these reports, the bipap s/t probably isn't the right machine for you. getting switched to a bipap asv will improve things greatly...

Prior to getting in touch with the Dr for prescription, are any of the other modes available on the Dreamstation ST that may be close to the ASV...
The are the modes that it can work in?
