cpap S10 Autoset with or without humidifier - worthog - 04-13-2019
Just wondering if one needs to use the humidifier with their CPAP S10 machine. I seem to read somewhere that there is a blanking plate that you can buy and fit when not using the humdiifier
Anyone out there who can advise on this please
Also if using the side blank plate, can you still use the same hose

Yes, you can get the side plate from online retailer #1. Yes, you can use the same hose. While you can turn off humidification, you have to leave the bin in. With the side plate in, you can leave the bin (which is handy if you travel - one less thing). I'll be taking my bin out and putting the side plate in about May 1. Stays that way until October.

I got mine with a side plate and have only used the humidifier once or twice in the 3+ years Ive had the machine.
I have a couple of plain hoses that I use and I save my heated hose for use with the humidifier. Having said that you could use your heated hose with the side plate.

I have bought the side plate to use when I travel, tried it last night and the machine was extremely nosiy. Is there a setting I missed?

I have a side plate for mine, although I've yet to use it. Bought it just in case scenario.

I also have noticed that with the side cover the machine is definitely noisier.
