Hi sunnyorm,
WELCOME! to the forum.!
Hang in there for suggestions and best of luck to you.

RE: Repair myself - PaulaO2 - 01-08-2013

ResMed doesn't let anyone know what their error codes mean.

I did a Google search and found this on another forum: (The reliability of this information is unknown!)

Quote:Error 1019 means the flow sensor is stuck at a low value. The most common reason for this is water from the humidifier has got back into the device. If this is the case, it won't be covered by the warranty.

And the next one says:

Quote:Hello, this just happened to us while on vacation because the machine got knocked over. This is what worked for me. Take the humidifier off of the machine. Take a blow dryer and on low setting, lightly blow into the machine. When I plugged it back in the error message was gone. This will buy us time to get home and get it checked out by a professional. Good luck!

On our old board, someone else had the error code. SuperSleeper suggested this:
Quote:Wish I could provide more help, but this looks like a problem that only a ResMed repair facility can fix. Only other thing you might want to try is to disconnect the humidifier and hose from the machine, take all filters out, unplug it, and let the CPAP machine dry out completely (maybe in front of a fan) for several hours, then start it up and see if the problem persists. Mostly likely, this will not solve the issue, however, but it might be worth a try.

The user never came back with a report so don't know if that worked.

Another place also said water damage.

RE: Repair myself - zonk - 01-09-2013

from my S8 clinical manual trouble shooting ... page 52
Display errormessage: Exxxx (where xxxx defines an error)

Component failure. Return the S8 AutoSet II for servicing.
is the machine still under the warranty otherwise call Resmed customer service and you can give a call to either cpap repairer #27 and #28
they might be able to tell you if worth to repair or not
