Oscar installs on Centos 7.6 - fredex - 05-08-2019

Having been away from the board for a couple of weeks, I just checked in and found Oscar was out there, and Lo and Behold, some kind soul had done a build for Centos-7!

Downloaded, installed, imported SH data and it appears (on the basis of a half hour playing with it) to be working!

tomorrow I'll try importing 2 or 3 days sessions from my SD card and see where that gets us.

thanks a ton, guys!

Fred

One minor nit in the Centos installation:

It doesn't create a desktop link/icon. but that's trivial for a user to do if they have even the slightest clue.

But it DID create an entry in the desktop menus, so that's good enough for most people.

CenOS compatibility probably extends from the Linux origins of that program branch. You might want to join the development team by contacting Bonjour (Fred) and offering to test future upgrades on the CenOS platform.
