Need help with full face mask - Tdew - 06-25-2019

Hi,

I've been using a nasal mask so far and that worked out pretty well but because of some issues I've been having lately with nasal congestion (possibly related to a previous nose job I had, long story) I got full face masks (resmed air fit f30, dreamwear full face mask) to start using long term and both are kinda the same and giving me big issues.

My main concern is that when I exhale air from my mouth, I feel a bit of resistance from the mask that doesn't feel comfortable(as in, there's already too much air in the mask and I can only exhale a bit slowly). I tried last night just for the sake of it to lie on my side with the mask and surprisingly I didn't have the issue. I'm not sure why would that matter and also was wondering if someone noticed the same. Exhaling from my nose with all mask types is fine but with my mouth, there is an issue.

Any ideas anyone? Really desperate.
Tried to lower the max pressure and still the same thing.

Thanks

Edit: please disregard my signature until I edit it. Current setup--resmed Airsense 10, pressure 7-15 (with nasal mask that worked) and now down to 4-7 with the full face mask until I figure out what's the issue

if you haven't already, make sure you've set the machine setting for mask type to ffm. if you're condition will tolerate it, turning epr on or on to a higher setting might ease exhale pressure as well, at least when it rises to max 7. think I'd try these at your previous settings but hard to tell until you post some charts.
